Bangkok, Thailand

"I came to Saiyai Law not knowing what to expect. The first conversation was easier than I imagined — nobody made me feel rushed or like I had to have all the answers. They sent me a written summary of my options afterward, which I read carefully over a few days. That was exactly what I needed."

"As a foreign national, I wasn't sure how Thai family law would apply to my situation. Saiyai Law explained things clearly without overcomplicating them. The process for our children's arrangements took time, but it was done right. I felt like my concerns were actually heard throughout."

"We used the mediation and drafting service. The mediator helped us find agreement on things we had been arguing about for months — not by pressuring either of us, but by giving both sides space to explain what they actually needed. The agreement is clear and we both understood it before signing."

"The separation process was something I had been putting off for over a year because it felt overwhelming. Someone I trusted suggested Saiyai Law. The first meeting was much quieter than I expected. They did not push me toward any particular outcome — just helped me understand what my options were."

"My ex-partner and I used the mediation service for a parenting arrangement. I was surprised how smoothly it went, honestly — we had been struggling to agree on our own. The practitioner kept things focused and constructive. The final document was written in English and Thai, both clear."

"I appreciated that they replied within a day and were straightforward about what the service included and what it would cost. No surprises along the way. The agreement drafting took about three weeks from start to finish, which was longer than I hoped, but the result was solid."

How families moved through difficult situations

Case Study 01 · Separation Guidance

The Situation

A Thai-Australian couple in Bangkok had been separated informally for several months but had not addressed the legal side of things. The Thai partner was unsure what rights she had under Thai law and had not felt ready to raise the subject formally.

The Support

A private first consultation helped both partners understand their options individually. We provided a written overview of each scenario and what it would involve. Over several weeks, the couple moved toward a mutual arrangement at their own pace, without court involvement.

The Outcome

A voluntary separation agreement was drafted and signed. Both parties left with a clear document and an understanding of the next practical steps. No court appearance was required. The process took six weeks in total.

"We never felt like we were being steered toward any particular outcome."
Case Study 02 · Children's Arrangements

The Situation

Two parents with a seven-year-old daughter had separated but could not agree on a regular care schedule. Both parents were committed to being involved in the child's life; the difficulty was practical coordination, not willingness.

The Support

We met with each parent separately first, then jointly. A proposed arrangement was drafted around the child's school schedule and each parent's working hours. Two revision sessions were held before both parents felt the arrangement was fair and workable.

The Outcome

A documented care arrangement was signed by both parents, including a built-in review provision for twelve months ahead. Communication between parents has reportedly improved. The process took approximately eight weeks.

"Our daughter has a clear routine now. That matters more than anything."
Case Study 03 · Mediation & Agreement Drafting

The Situation

A family business had been operated jointly by a married couple. Upon deciding to separate, both partners wanted to find a way to divide responsibilities without dissolving the business or entering litigation.

The Support

Three mediation sessions were held over four weeks. Both parties came in with their own priorities and concerns. We helped identify the common ground and structure an arrangement that addressed both sides without requiring either to concede on their most important points.

The Outcome

A cooperation agreement was drafted in plain language and signed by both parties. The business continues to operate. Both parties described the mediation as more constructive than they expected. Total timeline: five weeks.

"We avoided what could have been a very expensive and damaging process."
